Dive Team Rep Needed Before March 1st

The Dive Team is actively seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to fill the vital role of Team Representative (“Team Rep”). If you know of someone that may be interested or you are personally interested, please let us know. Without a dedicated Team Rep, the Dive Team’s existence is at stake, and this could mean that our pool may miss out on the incredible opportunity to support our dive participants this summer.

The Team Rep serves as the backbone of the team, responsible for a range of important tasks, including:

  • Representing the team in meetings with the NVSL and other teams in our division.
  • Establishing effective communication channels with RFD families and coaches.
  • Organizing necessary officials and volunteers for meets, ensuring training requirements are met.
  • Managing and coordinating home meets to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborating with coaches to schedule practices efficiently.
  • Synchronizing non-diving activities with the RFD Swim Team Reps, such as team photos, pep rallies, and fun outings like Kings Dominion, miniature golf, and movie nights.

While the Team Rep is the team manager, it is important to note that they are not expected to take on every task themselves. Delegating responsibilities and ensuring the completion of essential duties is a key aspect of the role. We fully support and encourage the involvement of multiple individuals working together to fulfill the Team Rep’s duties.

If you are interested in becoming the Dive Team Rep for the upcoming season, please get in touch with Rebecca Arguello, the Aquatics pool board member, at aquatics.rfd@gmail.com. Your willingness to step up and take on this crucial position is greatly appreciated.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We have a deadline of March 1st to fill the Dive Team Rep position. Failing to do so may result in the unfortunate cancellation of the RFD dive season for the summer of 2024. Let’s work together to prevent this from happening.

We sincerely hope that you will seriously consider volunteering as the Dive Team Rep, whether individually or as part of a team effort. Your contribution will not only benefit your child but also the entire Dive Team community.
