Host Your Event at Rutherford Pool’s Pavilion!

Consider hosting your next party or gathering at Rutherford Pool’s Pavilion! Our rented space offers a comfortable covered area with picnic tables, fans, and electricity. You and your guests will also have access to our BBQ grills and all pool amenities.

For exclusive use of the pavilion, you can rent it for $75 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. This includes 10 guest passes. For parties with more than 10 non-member guests, there is a guest fee of $5 per additional guest, whether they plan to swim or not.

For parties with more than 20 members and/or 10 non-member guests, we kindly request that you make a reservation at least 2 weeks before the event so that we can ensure the appropriate number of lifeguards are available to accommodate your event. Please contact our Social Operations Chair, Cameron Childs, to arrange your pool party at social@rutherfordpool.org.

During your party, the pavilion will be closed to your guests only. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

Pavilion Rental Guidelines for Rutherford Pool:

  • All fees are due on the day of the event and can be paid at the snack shack or by working with the Social Operations Chair. If you prefer, you can pay in advance by notifying the Social Operations Chair.
  • Pool parties are limited to a maximum of 20 members and non-member guests. If you plan to exceed this number, please reach out to the Social Operations Chair and receive Board Approval at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
  • Guest passes that exceed the 10 included with the rental should be purchased before the party.
  • A Pool Party Guest List must be completed and submitted to the Social Chairperson 10 days prior to the Pool Party, especially if the party includes children. This guideline ensures that the appropriate accommodations can be made, including lifeguards available to perform swim tests before entering our pool for the first time. Note: If a child guest does not pass the swim test, they must be at arm’s length of their parent or guardian unless they are in the 2-foot wading pool area or the baby pool.
  • Your Pavilion Rental includes all the picnic tables under the pavilion and the use of 1 grill. If you require additional tables for your event, please make this request to the Social Chairperson at least 10 days prior to the event.
  • If children over the age of 10 and teenagers are present, there must be at least one chaperone for every 15 children/teenagers. For children ages 5-10, there must be 1 chaperone for every 10 children. For children under the age of 5, there must be 1 adult per 2 children.
  • The Rutherford Pool Member who rented the pavilion must be present for the entire duration of the event.
  • All party guests must sign in at the desk before admission, following the master list provided by the host.
  • All party guests must adhere to the pool rules, which will be enforced by the lifeguards on duty.
  • If extra lifeguards are required, there will be an additional charge. The number of extra lifeguards needed will be determined by the pool manager and RASCC Board Members.
  • No rentals will be allowed on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday after 5:30 pm. Pool parties must conclude by 8:00 p.m. during Summer Hours and 7 p.m. during School Hours.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on Club premises.
  • All trash must be disposed of in the designated containers provided for your event.
  • No refunds will be given if the entire requested rental time frame is not utilized.

We strive to accommodate your needs and maintain flexibility. Members are encouraged to work with the Social Operations Chair and Pool Board to make exceptions to these guidelines.
